Cheque payments should be made favouring ‘Padmashree Academy’
The six subjects are:
Mathematics
Science
English
Marathi
Social Studies (History, Geography and Political Science included)
Third language
(Third language could be – Sanskrit or Hindi (100 marks) or Hindi + French)
Subjects once chosen, cannot be reduced anytime between the year.
Addition of new subjects would be based on the availability of seats.
Fees once paid are not refundable under any circumstances.
Teaching Methodology
It has been proven that the best learning happens only when the student is physically present in front of the teacher. Hence, we firmly believe in the traditional chalk-board method of teaching.
We do employ contemporary techniques like educational videos, hands-on experiences and flipped classrooms to take the learning experience to the next level.
Providing Recorded lectures is only by the discretion of the respective teachers.
We are also open to the online mode of teaching, if and when the opportunity presents itself. But the academy holds the rights to the final decision.
Extra-curricular activities, like field trips, skills workshops, life-skills seminars etc may be chargeable over and above the course fees. These are optional choices, but will help in the overall development of the students. The details would be provided to the interested parties well in time.
Discipline and Code of Conduct
Students are advised
Not to carry any valuables to the class and the Academy is not responsible for any loss or damage of the same.
To wear comfortable dresses that are suitable in helping the students focus only on the studies. Dresses or pants more than two inches above the knees, are strictly prohibited. This is solely with the intention of maintaining the sanctity of the place of learning.
Are expected to keep the utmost level of discipline, while they are in the Academy premises. A student who involves in any of the following, will attract strict disciplinary action, which may include dismissal from the academy-
Repeated Disruption/disturbance in the process of teaching,
Repeated Disruption/disturbance in the administrative work and curricular activity,
Repeated Disruption/disturbance to the neighbours or any members residing in the Academy’s building’s premises.
Any attempt to prevent any staff member of Padmashree Academy from carrying on his/her work and any act reasonably like to cause such disruption.
Using abusive or derogatory language against any individual, irrespective of the age, designation, in the Academy premises.
Damaging or defacing the Academy’s Property, Equipment and Facilities available at the class facilities.
The facilities provided at the Academy are for the benefit of the students and would serve their purpose only if they are maintained so. Hence students are expected to behave responsibly and thus assist us in maintaining the facilities provided, in their optimal conditions.
We acknowledge the need of a break in between lectures to ensure good concentration and understanding of the subject matter. But the students are advised to strictly adhere to the break timings, failing which the Academy holds the rights to discontinue such breaks, in the interest of maintaining discipline.
A mobile phone with the students is the need of the hour. Hence, though we do allow mobile phones in the premises, we earnestly request the parents to handover basic phone sets only to the students, to avoid any kind of distraction, peer rivalry or any such unwanted circumstances in the Academy.
Students should strictly keep their mobile phones on silent mode, to avoid unnecessary disruption of classes. Staff members of the Academy are empowered to withhold/confiscate the mobile phone, if the situation demands so, in the interest of the other students.
Academic Performance
A student must ensure to attend all the classes and activities conducted for them by the teachers. The activities, especially, are conducted with an intention to encourage overall development of the students.
While Padmashree Academy aims at enhancing the academic performance of a student, it is essential that the student displays continuing, participative interest and involvement during the classes.
Merely joining at Padmashree Academy does not assure high marks OR better performance. This is the result of the combined efforts of the teachers and the students and also the faith placed in the teacher.
